vidIQ has changed its plans a lot, and most pricing pages online still list plans and prices that no longer exist. This page shows what vidIQ charges today, taken from its own plans page, what each plan includes, how to pay less, and which plan fits your channel.
Why listen to me
I’m Alan Spicer, a YouTube Certified Expert with six YouTube Silver Play Buttons. From 2020 to 2021 I worked on vidIQ’s Customer Success team, coaching more than 400 creators in-house, and “which plan should I buy?” was the question I answered most. I’m a vidIQ affiliate, and I’ve flagged every link that pays me.
⚡ QUICK ANSWER: How much does vidIQ cost?
vidIQ Free costs nothing. Boost costs £19 a month, or £16.58 a month billed yearly (£199 a year). Max costs £39 a month, or £31 a month billed yearly (£372 a year). These are UK prices for one channel, checked on vidIQ’s plans page in October 2026. Coaching and Enterprise are priced on request.

More than one channel? Boost and Max let you pick one, two or three channels using the credits dropdown on each plan card. More channels means more AI credits and a higher price. If you manage more than three channels or need several team members, vidIQ points you to Enterprise.
Try Boost for $1 first
Before paying £19 a month, my partner link gets you your first month of Boost for $1 (or your local equivalent).

vidIQ Free: £0
What you get: 150 AI credits a month, niche trends, content ideas, AI Coach growth tips, the Chrome extension and vidIQ’s MCP connector for AI assistants. The research tools work, but with tight caps.
The main limits: according to vidIQ’s help centre, Free shows three keyword results and eight outlier results per search, tracks up to three competitors, unlocks three sections of the channel audit, and leaves out Best Time to Post and subscriber analysis. You can’t buy extra credits on Free.
My take: a proper starting point, not a demo. Use it to learn the tool and find your first low-competition topics. Most creators who upload weekly outgrow it within a month or two. Every cap is listed in vidIQ free vs paid.
vidIQ Boost: £19 a month or £199 a year
What you get: 2,000 AI credits a month for one channel, unlimited keyword research and trends research, unlimited outliers and channel audits, AI thumbnails, optimisation tools, unlimited subscriber insights, the AI Coach with deeper thinking, Best Time to Post and creator masterclasses. vidIQ says Boost includes more than 30 tools.
What it costs per day: about 55p a day on yearly billing, or about 62p on monthly.
My take: this is the plan I recommend to most creators. It removes the caps that hold you back on Free, and 2,000 credits covers regular AI use for a weekly uploader. If you know you’ll keep it, yearly billing saves £29. Full review: vidIQ Boost review.
vidIQ Max: £39 a month or £372 a year
What you get: everything in Boost, plus 6,000 AI credits a month, up to three times as many AI Coach conversations, Max Mode AI for deeper strategy, up to 11 hours of Shorts clipping and generation, unlimited AI thumbnails and the option to buy extra credits.
My take: Max is about AI volume, not extra research features. If you rarely run out of Boost’s 2,000 credits, Max won’t change much for you. It earns its price for creators who use the AI Coach heavily, clip a lot of Shorts, or run several channels on one account. Yearly billing saves £96. Compare the two in Free vs Boost vs Max.
vidIQ Boost + Coaching
What you get: full Boost, plus a personal YouTube coach you choose. vidIQ lists weekday access to your coach, a personal channel audit, a step-by-step growth plan, and feedback on thumbnails, titles and videos. It’s for English-language channels only. The price is shown when you choose a coach.
My take: coaching suits creators who are stuck and want someone to hold them to a plan. As someone who did this job at vidIQ, I’d say the value depends almost entirely on whether you act on the feedback. If you’d rather work with an independent consultant who has grown channels like Coin Bureau Trading and Woof & Joy, you can also book a discovery call with me.
vidIQ Enterprise
What you get: access for every channel, team roles and permissions, priority onboarding and support, and cross-channel reporting. It’s aimed at brands, agencies and multi-channel networks, and it’s priced by quote.
What happened to vidIQ Pro?
Older pricing pages, including earlier versions of this one, list a cheap Pro plan. Pro no longer appears on vidIQ’s plans page, so new customers choose between Free, Boost and Max. vidIQ’s help centre still lists a credit allowance for Pro, which suggests existing Pro subscribers keep their plan. If you’re on Pro, check your billing page before changing, because you may not be able to switch back.
The old “Max at £79” and “Coaching at £159” figures you’ll see elsewhere are also out of date. Max now costs £39 a month on monthly billing.
How to pay less for vidIQ
| Method | Saving | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Partner link | Boost for $1 for the first month | Testing Boost properly |
| Yearly billing | £29 a year on Boost, £96 on Max | Anyone who’ll use it all year |
| UNLOCK2026 | 25% off a new Boost monthly plan | People who prefer monthly billing |
| 7-day free trial | One week free on Boost yearly | New customers ready for yearly |
One quick comparison: UNLOCK2026 brings Boost monthly to about £14.25 a month, which is cheaper than yearly billing at £16.58 and keeps you free to cancel any month. vidIQ can withdraw the code at any time, and offers can’t be combined. Full rules for each: vidIQ coupon code guide.
Which vidIQ plan should you choose?
| Your situation | Plan | Cost (UK) |
|---|---|---|
| New, or uploading once a month or less | Free | £0 |
| Uploading weekly, still deciding long-term | Boost monthly | £19 a month |
| Uploading weekly and committed for a year | Boost yearly | £199 a year |
| Heavy AI or Shorts clipping, or two to three channels | Max | £39 a month or £372 a year |
| Stuck and want a coach | Boost + Coaching | Quoted |
| Agency or team, more than three channels | Enterprise | Quoted |
Not sure the paid plan will pay for itself? Divide the monthly cost by your RPM and multiply by 1,000 to get the extra views you’d need. At a £4 RPM, Boost’s £19 needs about 4,750 extra views a month to cover itself from ad revenue alone. My is vidIQ worth it? guide walks through the maths and a one-month test plan.

Billing, refunds and switching plans
- Renewal: paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. vidIQ’s help centre doesn’t mention renewal reminders, so set your own.
- Refunds: the same article says vidIQ doesn’t refund or credit unused days within a plan. Cancel before renewal if you don’t want the next charge.
- Cancelling: on the web, go to Account Settings, then Manage Plan, then Cancel Subscription, and finish the whole downgrade wizard. You keep paid features until the period ends. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are cancelled through Apple or Google. vidIQ’s cancellation guide has the steps.
- Upgrading: unused time on your current plan is credited towards the new one, and the change is immediate.
- Downgrading: takes effect at the end of your billing cycle. See vidIQ’s upgrade and downgrade guide.
- App store subscriptions: if you subscribed through Apple or Google, plan changes and promo codes on the vidIQ website won’t apply. Subscribe on the website with a card for the best offers.
Spend on strategy before tools
A subscription won’t fix the wrong niche, weak packaging or a stop-start schedule. On a free discovery call I’ll look at your channel and tell you what’s holding it back.
Worth booking if you’re about to spend money on tools and want a second opinion first.

Taxes depend on your country and are shown at checkout. Check the total before you pay rather than relying on the headline price.
Is vidIQ Max worth the extra?
Only if you regularly run out of Boost’s 2,000 AI credits or need lots of Shorts clipping. Max triples the credits but adds little for creators who mostly use research tools.

Final thoughts
vidIQ’s pricing is simpler than it used to be: Free at £0, Boost at £19 a month or £199 a year, and Max at £39 a month or £372 a year in the UK. Most creators should start on Free, move to Boost once they upload every week, and only pay for Max if they live in the AI tools. Test Boost cheaply first, and cancel before renewal if it isn’t changing what you make.
