Semrush Pricing 2026: Every Plan and Toolkit Explained (UK and US)

Semrush changed its pricing in 2026, and half the pricing pages online still list plans that no longer exist. Here are the real numbers from Semrush’s own site, what each plan includes, and which one I’d pick for different businesses.

Last updated: 28 October 2026 · By Alan Spicer, YouTube Certified Expert

Part of the Semrush series.

Quick version: the SEO plan is $139 a month, Semrush One Starter is $199 and Pro+ is $299, with up to 17% off yearly. On top of that sit separate toolkits for content, local, social, ads, traffic and PR. Most small businesses need one plan and no toolkits.

Why listen to me? I’ve been a YouTube Certified Expert since 2017 and self-employed for 20 years, paying for my own tools out of my own business. I’ve checked every number below against Semrush’s pricing pages on 20 October 2026.

⚡ QUICK ANSWER: How much does Semrush cost?

Semrush costs $139 a month for the SEO plan, $199 for Semrush One Starter and $299 for Pro+, or $117.33, $165.17 and $248.17 a month billed yearly. Advanced is custom-priced. There’s a free account with 10 reports a day and a 7-day free trial on paid plans.

The SEO plan covers classic SEO: keyword research, competitor analysis, Site Audit and Position Tracking. Starter adds AI visibility for one brand, MCP access so you can query Semrush data from AI assistants, and an AI-readiness check in Site Audit. Pro+ adds historical data, content optimisation, keyword cannibalisation analysis and tracking across multiple locations and devices. Advanced adds share of voice, API data and team features.

What happened to Semrush Pro, Guru and Business?

Semrush retired the Pro, Guru and Business names in 2026. The limits haven’t vanished: Semrush’s own FAQ still lists 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 daily analytics requests, which used to belong to Pro, Guru and Business and now belong to SEO, Pro+ and Advanced.

Old plan Old list price Nearest 2026 plan 2026 price
Pro $139.95 SEO $139
Guru $249.95 Pro+ $299
Business $499.95 Advanced Custom
Not available Not available Semrush One Starter $199

Old list prices as widely reported before the 2026 change. 2026 prices from Semrush’s pricing page, checked 20 October 2026.

If you’re on a legacy plan, check your billing page in Semrush to see what you pay and what happens at renewal. Your own account is the only reliable source for your terms, so check there rather than relying on articles, including this one.

How much are Semrush toolkits?

Semrush toolkits are separate products for specific jobs, priced on their own. You don’t need any of them to do SEO; they’re for businesses with a specific need such as local listings or social scheduling.

Toolkit Starting price (per month, billed yearly) What it’s for
AI Visibility $99 per domain Tracking how ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity mention your brand
Content $60 Topic ideas, SEO briefs, AI writing and optimisation
Local $30 per location (Pro $60) Google Business Profile, listings, reviews, map rankings
Social $20 (Pro $40, Business $250) Scheduling posts, tracking profiles, influencers
Advertising $99 (Pro $220) Google and Meta ads research and campaign help
Traffic & Market $289 Traffic estimates and market analysis for any site
AI PR $149 (Pro $279, Business $499) Media database, pitching and coverage tracking

Source: Semrush toolkit pricing pages, checked 20 October 2026. Semrush shows yearly-billed rates by default; monthly billing may cost more.

What extra costs should you budget for?

Extra users are the cost that catches teams out. Each additional user starts at $45 a month on the SEO and Semrush One plans, and at $20 a month on single toolkits such as Content, Local, Social and Advertising.

Add-on Price per month What you get
Additional user (SEO and Semrush One plans) From $45 Separate login on shared projects
Additional user (single toolkits) $20 Separate login for that toolkit
Base Report $10 Scheduled reports with data from 20+ tools, Google Analytics and Search Console
Pro Report $20 Branded, white-label reports with external integrations
Lead Generation $90 Profile on the Semrush Agency Partners directory

For a one-person business, the add-ons rarely matter. For an agency with three staff on Pro+, two extra users add $90 a month, taking the real cost to $389 a month before reporting.

Paying for tools you don’t use?

I see it in most audits: three overlapping subscriptions and no plan. On a free call I’ll help you cut to the one tool and the five reports that matter.

How much does Semrush cost in the UK?

Semrush publishes its prices in US dollars, and UK customers are billed the equivalent in pounds with VAT added where it applies. Semrush doesn’t publish a separate pound price list, so the exact pound figure depends on the exchange rate when you’re billed.

If you’re a VAT-registered UK business, you may be able to reclaim the VAT; check with your accountant. The simplest way to see your exact UK price is to start the 7-day trial, because the checkout shows the amount before anything is charged. My guide to how the Semrush free trial works explains the card check.

Which Semrush plan should you choose?

Choose the SEO plan if you want classic SEO for your own website, Semrush One Starter if you also want to track AI search, and Pro+ if you manage more than five websites or need historical data. Semrush’s own advice is similar: freelancers, bloggers and budget-conscious in-house marketers on SEO; consultants and agencies on Starter or Pro+.

You are… Plan I’d pick Why
A small business with one website SEO Everything you need for Google, lowest price
A blogger or affiliate site owner SEO Keyword research and tracking for up to 5 sites
A business whose customers ask ChatGPT for recommendations Semrush One Starter Adds AI visibility tracking for $60 more
A freelancer with a handful of clients Semrush One Starter AI tracking is now part of client reporting
An agency or multi-site business Pro+ 15 sites, 1,500 keywords, historical data
Not ready to pay Free account 10 reports a day while you learn

How can you pay less for Semrush?

You can pay less for Semrush by paying yearly, starting on the SEO plan, and using the 7-day trial before committing. There’s no standing discount code, so ignore sites promising one.

  • Pay yearly: up to 17% off, so $117.33 instead of $139 on the SEO plan.
  • Start on the SEO plan and only upgrade to Semrush One when you need AI tracking.
  • Use the free account for occasional lookups and Google Search Console for your own site’s data. My Search Console guide shows how.
  • Run the 7-day trial with a plan, export what you find, and only keep paying if the list of wins is long enough.
