  • Watch time: Total hours watched. YouTube’s primary ranking signal — more watch time means more algorithm distribution.

The 24/7 loop format is perfectly suited for this behaviour, and the result is extraordinary average view duration that YouTube rewards with very high algorithmic visibility.

99.3% of the channel’s watch time coming from streams means the uploaded videos are essentially irrelevant to this channel’s performance. The live stream is the channel’s entire YouTube presence in terms of actual engagement metrics.

What this means for you: Small channels in music, ambient, and similar “background content” niches can generate outsized metrics relative to subscriber count. The former gets recommended more often, to more people, in more places.

What this means for you: Adding 24/7 streaming doesn’t just add views — it can fundamentally change how YouTube perceives your channel’s engagement quality. I want to be clear about this data point: this is an exceptional result, not a typical one. A +1,100% revenue increase is not what the average creator should expect. But it’s also not fabricated — the documentation is verifiable, and the mechanism that produces this kind of result is real: music content with 90+ minute average view durations, combined with strong RPM in the music niche, can generate dramatic revenue numbers that dwarf what sporadic uploads produce.

The 14.3x stream revenue vs all other videos finding is also important context for channel strategy decisions. For this creator, every hour spent uploading videos was generating 14x less revenue per unit of effort than the stream was generating automatically. The rational allocation of creative energy shifts dramatically when you understand this comparison.

What this means for you: For music channels in particular — especially ambient, lo-fi, classical, or background music formats — the revenue potential from 24/7 streaming can be disproportionate.
